Laser Hair Removal

What to expect from your laser hair removal treatment:

Initial consultation & patch test

Your journey begins with an initial consultation, where we assess the treatment area, confirm that laser hair removal is suitable for you, and answer any questions you may have.

Initial consultations are £20, which is fully redeemable against any course of Laser Hair Removal treatments booked.

For your safety and wellbeing, a patch test is carried out during this appointment. Please ensure there is some visible hair in the treatment area so this can be performed accurately.

Your laser hair removal appointment

Your first treatment can take place 2 days after your patch test.

Please shave the treatment area the day before your appointment. Avoid shaving immediately beforehand, as this may increase the risk of irritation, inflammation, or swelling.

Do not wax, pluck, thread, or use hair removal creams either before your first session or between laser hair removal treatments. These methods remove the hair from the root, preventing the laser from effectively targeting the hair follicle.Shaving between appointments is the best method of hair removal to ensure you get the best from your treatment.

Most clients find the treatment very manageable, though sensation varies from person to person. It is often described as similar to a light rubber band snap or a small pinprick. If you are accustomed to waxing, you should find laser hair removal comfortable.

Appointments typically last 10–60 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated. Smaller areas, such as the underarms, may take as little as five minutes.

Some mild redness may appear in the treated area, but this usually settles quickly. Downtime is minimal, and we will apply a cool, soothing lotion before you leave.

Aftercare: post laser hair removal

To allow the skin to recover, please avoid hot baths or showers, saunas, steam rooms, swimming pools, and exercise

for 48 hours following each treatment.

An SPF 30+ sunscreen must be applied between treatments especially on facial areas for at least one month after your final session to help prevent sunburn and hyperpigmentation in the treated area.

How many sessions will I need?

Treated hairs typically begin to shed within 5–14 days after your first session and may continue to fall out

over several weeks.

Results vary between individuals, but on average 6–10 treatments are required for optimal results. Hair grows in cycles, meaning not all hairs are actively growing at the same time. Laser hair removal is most effective on hairs in the active growth phase, which is why multiple sessions are necessary.
