Happy International Nurses Day 💙

2017 — 25 year old me, fresh out of a demanding four-year nursing degree with a four-year-old by my side. Those nursing days were gruelling, but they shaped me into the strong, courageous, and independent woman I am today.

Fast forward 9 years — now 34, with two kids in tow and onto clinic number 2, after returning to university and completing my prescribing course this year. Nursing has never just been a job to me; it’s a lifelong commitment to always better myself for my patients and the people I care for.

Life has definitely thrown me some curveballs along the way, and at times the journey hasn’t been easy, but I’m proof that you don’t have to be extraordinary — just consistent. I’m just a regular girl who keeps showing up every day and moving one step closer to my goals.

These lines don’t appear just because of ageing in one small area — they’re usually caused by volume loss higher up in the face.

As we age, we lose fat and structural support in the cheeks and mid-face. When that support drops, the skin naturally falls forward and downward… and that’s when nose-to-mouth lines become more noticeable.
